In the evening of September 27, Unit 2 of the 2×35MW ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure gas power generation EPC project undertaken by MCC Huatian for Hebei Anfeng Delong Foundry Co., Ltd. achieved successful one-time rolling and grid connection. The generating unit runs smoothly with stable and reliable operating parameters and excellent performance indicators. Previously, Unit 1 was put into operation and connected to the grid at the end of August. The EPC team immediately carried out and successfully completed the 168-hour performance test. With both units fully commissioned, the construction quality and system commissioning results have been fully verified. The project demonstrates MCC Huatian’s profound technical expertise and high-quality full-cycle delivery capacity in the gas power generation sector.
Centered on energy conservation and carbon reduction, the project realizes comprehensive power generation by utilizing surplus low-calorific-value gas produced in steel manufacturing processes. It involves the construction of two sets of 35MW ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure gas turbine generating units. After full commissioning of both units, an additional power supply of approximately 123.8 million kWh will be generated each year compared with the old units, cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 71,900 tonnes annually. The project helps the steel enterprise boost efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, supporting the Dual Carbon goals with practical actions.
During construction, the MCC Huatian project management team coordinated all participating parties efficiently with professional overall planning capabilities. The team accurately identified key and difficult quality control points at each construction stage, prepared construction schedules in a systematic and scientific manner, and made thorough overall construction plans. Breakthroughs were made in multiple aspects including optimizing resource al of all parties, strengthening on-site operation control, and strictly implementing safety hazard inspections to resolve various on-site challenges one by one. The EPC project team maintained high morale and worked around the clock to overcome difficulties, ensuring the on-schedule commissioning of both units and winning full recognition from the client.
