The list of winners at the 51st Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions has been announced. A project co-developed by MCC Huatian and the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences — "Freeze-Thaw Disaster Prevention Technology for Major Infrastructure in Permafrost Regions" — received a gold award. This achievement highlights the innovative strength of MCC Huatian's R&D team.

Held in Geneva, Switzerland from March 11 to 15, 2026, the exhibition featured over 1,040 inventions from 40 countries. The Chinese delegation presented 237 projects, winning 90 gold, 95 silver, and 52 bronze awards.

The winning technology addresses engineering challenges in high-latitude and high-altitude permafrost regions, such as frost heaving of foundations, thaw-induced settlement of pipelines, and structural failure. The innovative solutions provide reliable and scalable technical approaches, further establishing China's international standing in cold-region engineering disaster prevention.
